Hey there —

I’m Jacquee, the artist and creative behind Dot JPG Designs.

Yep, those really are my initials...

so you could say this whole thing was meant to be.

I'm a professional visual artist from the Birmingham area who specializes in graphic design and multimedia artwork. My work is rooted in storytelling, texture, and a little bit of chaos. I’m inspired by the imperfect, the sentimental, the weird, and the deeply personal. Whether I’m painting a portrait, building a website, or turning your dream brand into a reality, I’m always chasing that feeling of "this is so them".

I’ve always been a maker at heart

I grew up in a house where music was loud, style was personal, and creativity was everywhere — thanks to my mom, who raised me with a love for the offbeat and the beautifully broken. I spent my childhood drawing, thrifting, collecting weird little treasures, rearranging my room, and figuring out how to turn whatever I had into something cool. You could say instinct to make things (and make them mine) never really left.

The journey here wasn't easy...

Before my 20th birthday, my quality of life began a downward spiral…and fast. I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease, which completely changed the way I had to navigate daily life. Suddenly, flexibility and purpose weren’t luxuries...they were non-negotiables. Art became not just an outlet, but a place to land, reflect, and rebuild.

And when the pandemic hit in 2020, like a lot of people, I had to rethink everything. My old world wasn’t safe anymore and art stopped being something I did on the side; it became the thing I built my new world around. That's when I took the leap and started my creative business full-time, and it’s grown into something I have always dreamed about.

This is Now

In 2022, my husband Michael and I moved to Atlanta with our two cats, Brosie and Gelato (arguably the real CEOs of the operation). Since then, life has been full of growth, creativity, and a lot of paint-covered sweatpants.

Dot JPG is more than just a clever name — it’s my creative home, built out of tough seasons,

big feelings, and lots of love.

FUNKY FACTS

I’ve painted over 100 custom pet portraits,

capturing everything from goofy grins to soulful eyes

I created two large-scale murals in downtown Birmingham

(they’ve since been taken down, but they’ll always be part of my story)

I run a wedding design and floristry business,

where I bring love stories to life with local blooms

I hand-pour small-batch, 100% organic candles —

mostly around the holidays, because scent is pure nostalgia

I also collect and restore vintage clothing and found objects,

giving forgotten pieces a second life (and a second look)
